My recent visit to SUNY Broome was a dynamic and insightful experience, showcasing the dedication and spirit of its faculty and staff. 

Special thanks to Delegate Mary Donnelly for organizing a full and thoughtful itinerary, which included engaging conversations with CGL Andrew Haggerty, Chief Academic Officer Dr. Penny Kelly, President Dr. Tony Hawkins and a number of faculty governance leaders.

Our discussions reflected the college’s deep commitment to shared governance, institutional assessment, and faculty support—even amid the broader challenges facing higher education. It’s clear that SUNY Broome's leadership and faculty are working to navigate these complexities with integrity and purpose.

While I missed the chance to take photos during my visit, several months ago I was fortunate to attend President Hawkins’ inspiring inauguration, where I was able to capture a moment with President Hawkins and with Delegate Mary Donnelly and CGL Andrew Haggerty.
